Star Wars, now at a Galaxy Not so Far away {LEGOLAND Discovery Center}

LEGOLAND {Schaumburg} asked it’s fans what their next MINILAND Model Display should be and fans chose Star Wars! Not a surprise if you have a son in first through third grade as LEGO Star Wars combine their two favorite things!

From LEGOLAND:

Young Padawans will learn to harness the Force in LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Chicago’s first-ever LEGO Star Wars Miniland – a large-scale, interactive LEGO model display, chronicling the adventures of Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. Take part in a thrilling Podrace through treacherous terrain on the planet Tatooine, and help defeat the evil Droid Army on the rolling plains of Naboo.

This walk through exhibit is sure to delight even the smallest LEGO Star Wars Fans as they take in all the sites and activities. My son has already started asking when we are going to go!

LEGOLAND is one of his favorite locations because there is so much for his little engineer brain to do. He can build models and race cars or play in a giant play structure tat includes giant LEGOs to play with. While the size and busyness of the center can be overwhelming to smaller children (it’s hard to navigate with strollers!) older kids will surely love it.

LEGOLAND also hosts special weekend throughout the year around a particular theme. This month’s theme is LEGO Friends Weekend and it’s April 27 and April 28. For your Star Wars fans LEGO Star Wars Days is returning this summer June 21-23 and will include Jedi, Droids and Clone Troopers  as well as Star Wars builds and activities.

Would you like a chance to check out the new exhibit? LEGOLAND has provided a family ticket (for up to two adults and two children) for one of our readers, just fill out the Rafflecopter below!

  1. We love all Legos here. Star Wars and Ninjago get the most play here. We’ve not been to Legoland yet and would love to go

  2. My 4.5 year old is all about Lego and Star Wars right now… Nevermind that his dad has always been obsessed with both. 😉
