The Great Lakes Naval Museum will be hosting a free kite-making activity for children on Saturday, 5 April 2014 from 1:00-3:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public. Children are encouraged to come and take advantage of the April winds, celebrate national Kite Flying Month and learn about the science behind lift, drag and flight. Participants will also learn to make a simple, durable kite out of household items. All craft supplies will be provided.
