When I first sat down to write this article, I reminisced back to my childhood.
A fond memory of going to a Christmas tree farm near our rural Ohio home came back to me so vividly.
I remember the smell of the pine trees, I remember it was a cold and overcast day, I even remember my dad having to cut six feet off of the tree we bought just to fit in the house.
We were the original Griswold family.
When I asked my mom via text about that “one time we went to a Christmas tree farm” she responded, “We did it for six years. Starting in 1979.”
Are you sure?
Six whole visits to the same Christmas tree farm???
My mom was great at creating amazing memories for us as children.
I am just not that great at remembering most of them, apparently.
The point I am trying to make is that it only takes one particular time to make a memory.
But I am sure your children will remember every single moment.
Make sure before heading out to cut your own tree, that you have all the tools or supplies that you will need with you. The websites are a great wealth of information but when in doubt, especially if this is your first time, call ahead.
