The traditional Thanksgiving Day celebration is a day of family, feasting and football. But why not add one more “f” to the mix, fitness. Now I know a lot of you just let out a collective groan, but Thanksgiving can be a great day to get some family fitness time in, with fun and bonding, and an added side effect of offsetting the turkey and pumpkin pie overload.
Family fitness time can be as simple as walking around the block or you can step it up to a jog, bike ride, or even a family touch football game. If you want to take your fitness challenge to the next level, check out the local Lake County Thanksgiving-themed fitness events (please note some events occur before Thanksgiving Day) we’ve put together for you right here.
