Tasty Tuesday: Wisma {Lake Bluff}

WISMA (pronounced whizz-ma) is my new favorite place, my sincerest apologies Mr. Walt Disney.

My coworker is addicted to yelp and suggested this place I had never heard of. Let me tell you, it was completely AMAZING. The food was the highest grade; so delicious and all locally sourced and organic!
This restaurant was the cutest atmosphere around. I attached a picture so you don’t have to trust my word, which might not be that credible since currently my house is decorated with Legos and Nerf Bullets. But if I was able to live out a dream and open a café, this is how I would decorate it.

We entered the café at 11:15 a.m. on a weekday and we were greeted by the manager who gave us the step-by-step tour of everything there is to offer. She was so kind and passionate. I look forward to trying everything they serve over the next few weeks.

Wisma means home, and that’s what our store is all about.
We began 3 years ago with a really simple idea: We believe that the foods in your pantry and your fridge should be better than they are. We help make the foods you eat at home better. We cook every day for you with an entire menu of items made from scratch.
Plus we offer loads of beers, wine, and snacks for any and all occasions. Spend time with us and discover the many ways Wisma fits into your everyday life!

This is the perfect place for a date with your toddler, a date with your husband or a date with your girlfriend. It’s on the corner in downtown Lake Bluff right by beautiful park , a perfect place to go this spring. Stay for a glass of wine or housemade ice cream and sorbet.  And just in case you go during an important sporting event there’s a TV in the corner showing NCAA tournament for the next important game.

The more I talk to everyone, everyone loves this restaurant! I’m not sure how it took me so long to find it? If you’re like me, don’t wait another second to experience bliss at Wisma!

Check out their menu online, seriously the butternut squash soup is unbelievably delicious. My mouth is watering right now as I type this.

Don’t tell my husband, but I even took some food to go now I don’t have to cook dinner! Yes! I’m excited to serve my family locally sourced, organic food. I will also share another secret with you…don’t tell my friends, but if they have a baby or a broken leg and I don’t have time to cook; I am totally coming here to grab them some delicious and healthy food for their family.
