Summer is here! Everyone is excited and ready to swim, sand, hike and chill out. Until they’re not. Until it’s cold and rainy or over 100 degrees for the third day in a row. You don’t realize how small your house is until everyone is crammed in it for a full 24 hours trying to do their own thing and get away from everyone else. This summer, Hippo Campus is helping solve that problem without breaking the bank or having to think about what is open, available, and affordable for your family.
If you don’t know Hippo Campus it’s a unique and inclusive sensory play place located in Volo. According to Little Lake County Writer Jessica G.:
Stepping into Hippo Campus is like stepping into Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory without the candy. Every one of the five senses is delighted by lights, music, colors and textures everywhere you turn.
Hippo Campus has five rooms, each unique with different play and sensory experiences. From music to lights to a large motor “lava” room there is something for every kid. In addition to the indoor space in the summer, there is an outdoor space with an imagination garden (open weather permitting) to take the fun outside! The imagination garden features cars and a car wash, camping play, dinosaur zoo, fairy garden, music and more.
The Hippo Campus Membership will give you unlimited visits from June 1 – August 31. That means any morning you wake up this summer and the weather (or your children) aren’t cooperating, you can just head over to Hippo Campus without even thinking about it. In addition to the free entry, you will get 10% off purchases of toys and gifts as well as classes and workshops, special member only hours and one free “bring a friend pass.” Membership is $100 for the first child and $70 for each additional child.
Registration is still open for summer classes, and they look like so much fun. There is Messy with Mo where children ages 2-3 or 3-6 can do messy art, in someone elses house, for some else to clean-up. Sign me up! Older kids can take a poetry class to keep their writing skills up over the summer. There are also camps and parent-child workshops scheduled throughout the summer. See the Hippo Campus Website or call Maureen at (847) 201-1120.
Take the guess work out of summer and save with a Hippo Campus Summer Membership!
