The Halloween Candy Buy-Back Guide is brought to you by Children’s Dentistry Group, LLC in Lake Zurich. Dr. Paul Herer, Dr. Melissa Patenio, Dr. Sarah Mahmoud and Dr. Anu Krishnamurthy along with their entire staff have the magic touch to take the anxiety out of dental care and make it a pleasant experience for children and their parents.
Trick-or-treating is an annual highlight for many kids–the fun of dressing up, the thrill of going door-to-door, the sweet taste of the candy loot. Without a doubt, all this fun typically leads to an intense sugar high and an inevitable sugar crash (and maybe a cavity or two). In our house we have three young girls who don’t quite know (or don’t yet care, maybe) how to keep track of their candy once they bring it home. As much as I love a good stash of candy, it’s dangerous to have it in the house!
This year we are excited to participate in a Halloween Candy Buy-Back. This is a perfect opportunity to get most of the candy out of the house and into the hands of active duty soldiers or other good causes.
Check our list for a participating location near you. Most are dentist and orthodontic offices who use this program as a great way to promote oral health and provide our soldiers with a treat and a smile. You can also send candy directly to soldiers — see the information below.
