Family Golf in Lake County {2017}

Now’s that the weather is warming up, it’s the perfect time to take your favorite little golfers out for a round of golf at a Lake County golf course. Lake County offers many opportunities for young golfers to experience the game for FREE whether they are experienced on the course, or are tagging along with mom or dad in the cart.

This offer is available any time of day Monday through Friday and on the weekends after 4:00 p.m.

Park district courses such as Steeple Chase Golf Club in Mundelein also offer a similar opportunity. Steeple Chase offers one FREE junior golfer for each paying adult seven days a week after 4:00 p.m. As with all golf courses, be sure to call ahead and secure your tee time.

If you are a golf fan like myself, or new to the game, don’t miss the opportunity for your kids to experience the course and learn more about golf. My oldest son Jordan is now ten, and we started going out on the course when he was five. At first, he was a fan of cruising in the golf cart, grabbing a hot dog in the clubhouse, and practicing his putting. Now he has graduated to hitting shots on the course and we’re excited that his little brother Danny, who is almost seven, now joins us and take swings with his own clubs. Thanks to the Lake County Forest Preserve Courses, these two guys can join me on the course and learn the game and I only have to pay for my round of golf!
