Toying with Tech introduces children to the exciting world of technology in a developmentally appropriate way. Programming takes place approximately every other Thursday from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.

December 6, December 20: Following Directions
By giving them a series of directions, children will lead adults through a shape map. In the process, they will explore problem solving and debugging and will learn what to do when encountering “bugs” in their quest to reach a determined end.

January 10, January 24: Cause and Effect with Patterns
Explore if/then conditional statements of coding by creating and following patterns through cause and effect games.

February 7, February 21: Build It, Solve It
Create a twisting maze with blocks, then learn how to code a mini robot mouse to maneuver its way through the maze you just built.

March 7, March 21: Sequencing & Symbols
Unplugged technology! This activity will help children understand the coding importance of sequencing.

Tracy dreams of someday being considered a “cool” mom and she can still remember the days when she had time to put on makeup in the morning. She is a young, single, stay-at-home mom to an awesome little boy named Jayden. Every day, she and her son set off in her Jeep, rocking a pair of oversized sunglasses, in search of a new and exciting adventure to go on. In her free time she enjoys photography, reading, dancing, yoga, shopping, and pinning kid’s activities on Pinterest. She truly believes that if she was given enough Starbucks that she could rule the world.
