Summer vacation is almost here, which means the start of movie season. While many new blockbuster movies are coming out, I just can’t possibly shell out $40 for popcorn, tickets, and drinks all the time. It makes it even worse when my four-year-old wants to leave thirty minutes into the movie.
However, I can still take my little guy to the movie without making a huge dent in my bank account. Many movie theaters (and even some libraries) have special movie series programs in the summer. Some theaters have movies for as low as only $1! While they are not new releases, most of them have come out within a year or so, and for the price we certainly won’t mind.
As always, it’s a good idea to get there early or call ahead as these become very popular. Last year I went to one and it was practically sold out by the time I got there.
