7:00 p.m. Pajama Storytime, Barnes & Noble
{Deer Park} Family storytime in store, don’t forget to wear your jammies!

 

Saturday 2 September

All Day Buffalo Grove Days, Mike Rylko Community Park
{Buffalo Grove} BINGO, Food Tent, Beer Tent, Bags Tournament, live music Craft Fair, and of course, our Carnival! Saturday features Craft Fair, Blood Drive, Dog Show, and Performing Arts Sampler.

{Deerfield} Come to the Youth Program Room for a drop-in storytime the whole family will enjoy!

10:00 a.m. Make It! Family Craft, Fremont Public Library
{Mundelein} For all ages: Drop in and craft with your family!

11:00 a.m. Irish Days, Downtown Long Grove
{Long Grove} All eyes will be smiling when the historic shopping district of Long Grove presents Irish Days, a celebration of Irish culture, music, food and drink.

11:00 a.m. Saturday Storytime with Carol, Ela Area Public Library
{Lake Zurich} Enjoy stories, songs and crafts with Carol. For all ages with an adult.

11:00 a.m. Under Five Family Time, Vernon Area Public Library Distrcit
{Lincolnshire} Recover from the hustle and bustle of the busy week and join us rhymes, songs, dancing, books as well as a themed craft perfect for the pre-K crowd.

11:30 a.m. Babywearing International of Chicagoland, New Mother New Baby
{Northbrook} A  nonprofit, volunteer organization dedicated to helping caregivers learn the art of babywearing and how it applies to their lives, with meetings in various locations in the Chicagoland area.

12:00 p.m. Labor Day Weekend Festival, Puerto Rician Society of Waukegan
{Waukegan} Enjoy live music and good food at the Labor Day Festival Fun for the whole family!

12:00 p.m. Taste of Serbia, St. Basil of Ostrong
{Libertyville} One of Lake County’s biggest ethic festivals! There is fun for all ages, including a Kiddie area with giant inflatables and games. Stop by the bookstore for music, books, jewelry, or icons.

1:00 p.m. Open Lab in the Hive, Zion-Benton Public Library
{Zion} Use The Hive makerspace to explore our technology and make unique creations using our vinyl cutters and 3D printer. Staff will be available to provide limited assistance in using the design software and machines.

3:00 p.m. Geoffrey’s Birthday Club Celebration, Your Local Toys R Us Store
{Gurnee, Highland Park, Vernon Hills} Participate in fun activities, including Storytime featuring The Legend of Geoffrey and a birthday parade around the store . Plus, kids will take home their very own Geoffrey Plush toy and The Legend of Geoffrey storybook.

3:00 p.m. What’s on the Menu, River Trail Nature Center
{Northbrook} Join the naturalists for feeding time and learn about the display animals and their unique habitats.

3:30 p.m. Preschool Storytime, Waukegan Public Library

4:00 p.m. Wauconda Annual Street Dance, Main Street
{Wauconda} What a feeling to join friends and family for a night of music, beverages, food and dancing!

6:30 p.m. 2017 Jubilee Days Festival, Shiloh Park
{Zion} Saturday’s festivities include Miss Zion Pageant and Ice Cream Social.

 

Sunday 3 September

10:00 a.m. Art Fair on the Square, Market Square
{Lake Forest} The 62nd Annual Art Fair on the Square is the signature event for the Deer Path Art League and our gift to the community. The two-day, juried fine art show, located in historic Lake Forest Market Square, attracts over 20,000 attendees, is free to the public, and celebrates the individual artisan.
