We’ve filtered out all the FREE Easter Egg hunts, Hops, Celebrations and more and put them in one place to make your Easter weekend eggstra special. Friday – April 14

10:00 a.m. Spring Egg Hunt Eggs-stravanganza, Keith Mione Community Park
{Mundelein} Brightly colored plastic eggs blanket the ground, just waiting to be picked up. Eggs are filled with candy or toys. Bring your camera and take a picture with the Spring Bunny. Click link for age start times.

12:00 p.m. Easter Bunny Visit & Photos, Ice House Mall
{Barrington} Families can visit the Easter Bunny in his Spring Garden display and take photos. Bring your camera to take free photos.

1:00 p.m. Drop-in and Get Crafty: Easter, Round Lake Area Public Library
{Round Lake} Stop by from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Activity Room and have fun making a craft to celebrate Easter.


Saturday – April 15

7:30 a.m.  Mariano’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt
{Gurnee, Buffalo Grove , Vernon Hills } Easter egg hunt for children ages 2-0, hunt ends when all the eggs are found. Prizes include candy and a fun Easter visitor. Bring your own basket.

8:30 a.m. Preschool Easter Egg Hunt & Craft, Chick-fil-A
{Vernon Hills} Join Miss Bonnie for an Easter Egg hunt and craft.

9:00 a.m. Annual Easter Egg hunt, Shiloh Park
{Zion} The Easter Bunny will be busy hiding 10,000 eggs with fun toys and candy inside.  He’ll be there in person to watch your little ones (ages 8 and younger) gather them up.  No bags or baskets allowed.

9:30 a.m. Antioch Easter Parade

10:00 a.m. Bunny Bash, Buffalo Grove, Mike Rylko Community Park
{Buffalo Grove} A day of family fun with an egg hunt for ages 2-10. There will also be face painting, crafts and pictures with the Bunny. Remember to bring baskets to collect your eggs. Click link for age start times.

10:00 a.m. Easter Egg Hunt, Rule Park
{Gages Lake} Hop along and find eggs filled with candy and toys hidden in Rule Park! Hunt areas will be divided by age. One lucky golden egg will be hidden in each area. Find the lucky golden egg and receive a special prize! Click link for age start times.

10:00 a.m. Easter Egg Hunt, Sunset Woods
{Highland Park} Gather colorful eggs filled with toys and fun surprises. One special egg will hold a family pass to Hidden Creek AquaPark for summer 2017! Be sure to keep an eye out for an “Egg-stra” special guest! Click link for age start times.

11:00 a.m. Too Many Carrots Storytime, Barnes and Noble
{Vernon Hills, Deer Park, Deerfield} When Rabbit collects too many carrots, which leave him unable to sleep in his cozy burrow, other animals offer to share their homes. Will Rabbit make his way back? Join us to find out at this special springtime Storytime featuring Too Many Carrots. Activities and coloring to follow.

11:30 a.m. Re/Max Center 0th Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Lake County Fairgrounds
{Grayslake} FREE hunt for children ages 1-9. 10,000 eggs, 300 prizes. Come early to allow for parking and bring a camera for photos with the Easter Bunny and his friends. We ask you to bring non-perishable food items to fill our township food pantry, helping those in need.

12:00 p.m. Easter Bunny Visit & Photos, Ice House Mall
{Barrington} Families can visit the Easter Bunny in his Spring Garden display and take photos. Bring your camera to take free photos.

12:30 p.m. Easter Egg hunt, Holy Cross Parish
{Deerfield} All are welcome to attend the first annual Easter Egg Hunt at Holy Cross Parish! There will be three separate hunts, for ages 0-3, 4-7, and 8 and up. There will also be a visit from the Easter Bunny, himself, with free pictures offered from Life Unfiltered Photography!

1:00 p.m. Village Easter Egg Hunt, Wadsworth Park
{Wadsworth} Come join in the fun and meet the Easter Bunny at the Wadsworth’s Annual Egg Hunt!!


Sunday – April 16

12:30 p.m. Glow in the Dark Egg Hunt, Tilt Studio Rink Side Sports
{Gurnee}   Tilt Studio in the Gurnee Mills Mall will dazzle your day with two egg-citing Easter Egg Hunts. Children ages 2 to 6 will get to pick an egg from our dazzling array of glow-in-the-dark eggs in our Black Light Mini Golf Course at 12:30 pm sharp. Children ages 7 to 11 will get their chance to pick an egg that is up for grabs in our Black Light Laser Tag Arena at 1:00 pm.
