Easter Egg Hunts in Lake County
It’s that time, the time when all the little kiddies run and clamor across the fields and gyms to fill their baskets with colorful plastic eggs. The following egg hunts are do not require pre-registration so you can just pop in. Click on the image above or on this link to download your own printable list of EggHunts in Lake County. You can find all the Easter events on our calendar.

As with all events, but especially with our cold and wet spring, be sure to check all the listing and when in doubt, call before heading out.

Saturday April 5

10:45 a.m. Incredible Egg Scramble at Wheeling High School
{Wheeling} For ages 2-6 years old. Head out to the turf field for fun and games. Bring your camera for a photo with the Bunny and Park District mascots. Egg hunting will start promptly at 11:15 a.m. Sponsored by Wheeling High School and the Wheeling JayCees.

Saturday April 12

9:00 a.m. Egg Hunt at Blair Park
{Lake Bluff} For ages 8 and younger. Collect eggs, see the bunny and have fun! Bring your own basket. Find the golden eggs to win prizes! Rain location is the Lake Bluff Recreation Center.

9:00 a.m. Hoppin Holiday Hunt at Sullivan Center
{Vernon Hills} For ages 8 and under. Visit with the bunny, delight in the magic show and enjoy a continental breakfast before heading out for the egg hunt. Weather permitting the hunt will be held outside. 3 separate age brackets and time, see  listing for details.

9:30 a.m. Annual Egg Hunt at Cook Park
{Wauconda} For ages 3-10. Grab your basket, friends and family and hunt for all the eggs and treat you can find.. Mr. Bunny will also be available. Note: No parents will be allowed on the course, three age brackets at staggered times.

9:30 a.m. Easter Egg Hunt and Magic Show at Deerpath Community Park
{Lake Forest} The Egg Hunt will include games, pictures with the Easter Bunny and of course the exciting egg hunt. A special Magic Show will follow the hunt. Please remember to bring your basket. For ages 9 and younger.

10:00 a.m. Island Lake Easter Egg Hunt
{Island Lake} Sponsored by Al Schmidt it will start at the Village Hall at 10:00 a.m. following the Lioness pancake breakfast.

10:00 a.m. Easter Egg Hunt at Paulus Park
{Lake Zurich} Calling ll kids ages 2 to 8! The Easter Bunny plans to hide surprises in designated areas. Each group will go into their area to hunt for their eggs. The hunt begins promptly at 10:00 a.m.

10:00 a.m. Easter Egg Hunt at Forest View Park
{Lindenhurst} Bring your basket and join the bunny for an old fashioned Easter Egg hunt! For children 8 and under. There will be prizes for everyone and the Easter bunny will be available for pictures.

10:00 a.m. Egg-Citing Egg Hunt at Lake Front Park
{Fox Lake} Free Egg hunt for children up to age 10 begins promptly at 10:30 a.m. and will be divided into aged groups. Luncheon and Bunny pictures after for additional fees.

10:30 a.m. Easter Egg Hunt at Langerdorf Park
{Barrington} For ages 1-10 years old. Hop all over Langendorf’s main field to see how many of the Easter Bunny’s Egg you can find!

11:00 a.m. Easter Egg Hunt at Lehmann Park
{Lake Villa} Annual Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 3-8. The Egg Hunt is free but a donation of non-perishable food items for the Lake Villa Township Food Pantry will be greatly accepted and appreciated.

11:00 a.m. Volo Easter Egg Hunt
{Volo} Meet at the Village Hall for this free event.

Friday April 18

10:00 a.m. Egg Hunt Eggs-stravaganza at Keith Mione Community Park
{Mundelein} For ages 1=6 Join the great hunt for colored eggs and meet the Spring Bunny too! Bring a basket and dress for the weather. Groups beigin promptly at times listed.

Saturday April 19

8:00 a.m. Easter Egg Hunt at Whole Foods
{Deerfield} Kids ages 1-10 will be able to hunt for some fun filled eggs throughout the store. Photo opportunity with the Easter bunny after the egg hunt.

9:00 a.m. 59th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Shiloh Park
{Zion} The Easter Bunny will be busy hiding 10,000 eggs for children ages 8 and younger. Finders of the golden eggs will receive a new bike! No bags or baskets allowed.

9:00 a.m. Lions Easter Egg Hunt at Village Park
{Winthrop Harbor} Begins promptly at 9:00.

10:00 a.m. Bunny Bonaza at Mike Rylko Community  Park
{Buffalo Grove} Gather the entire family for a morning of free activities and fun!The festivities kick off promptly at 10:15 with age specific egg hunts, followed by face painting, games, pictures with the bunny and more. Bring your own basket.

10:00 a.m. Egg Hunt at West Ridge Park
{Highland Park} Gather colorful eggs filled with toys and surprises. Bring the camera for a post-hunt photo op.

1:30 p.m. Eggstravaganza Trail at Belvidere Park
{Waukegan} For children ages 2-8. Line up begins at 1:30 p.m. and the trail opens at 2:00 p.m.. Bring your camera and your basket to collect eggs and meet the Easter bunny. Food available for purchase.

Sunday April 20

11:30 a.m. Easter Egg Hunt at Rink Side Family Entertainment Center
{Gurnee} Open to all children 12 and under. Every egg holds a special prize! Free to participate.
